1965 Impala

Hello, a bit of a newbie to this forum even though I signed up years ago. Thought I'd share my latest project. I just started building models last year, so it's a bit intimidating after looking at all the super nice ones posted on here, but oh well, here it goes. This is a 1965 Impala that I am scale building of an actual car I owned for years (and wish that I still had). It is a 2 dr hardtop with SS seats and other non stock items...
BTW, this is my first time using things like BMF and other things that I consider "advanced", so I'm still learning!!

Here's the full album

Progress on the engine bay...

Not quite sure if I'll be keeping the velocity stacks. I changed the air filter styles fairly often when I had the car. Does anybody know of any smaller (6"-61/2") round air cleaners?

Fantastic in the engine compartment. The body color a bit too red. Beautiful work.

Re: 1965 Impala

Yea, thanks!! This one is definately the most detailed one I've built so far!! I'm still planning on building another when I get to where I feel like I know what I'm doing, lol
Hard to say if it is too red...my car seemed to change shades in different light. When I asked the previous owner (who was the one who had it painted red) he just said "Corvette red" ...the color here is duplicolor bright red, which to me, in person, looks spot on (based on memory too)

Re: 1965 Impala

I was wondering if anybody knew where I could get some decent looking 6"-6 1/2" scale air cleaners, similiar to what I had on the car? (Chevrolet script not required) They would need to be about 1/4" diameter...
Also, I used side pipes from the 70 1/2 Baldwin Motion Camaro, but I had to lengthen them and they dont look all that great. Does anyone here have any ideas on how to fab some up, perhaps with real metal tubing?

Thanks!

These are the ones I could find in the size that you requested but they don't look as close to the real deal as this http://stores.scaledreams.com/-strse...2-x/Detail.bok
