What are the sizes of the speakers in a 1965 Impala? Front and back? Thanx.

Re: speakers in a 1965 impala?
Cut new holes.
As I recall (I'm not looking a my Impala right now) the factory supplied one 6"x9" hole on the drivers side package tray, an optional 6" behind the grille in the back seat, and a 4"x8" (?) in the center of the dash. The stock locations do not allow for a nice sounding system, so you will need to cut new holes. |

Re: speakers in a 1965 impala?
Also, installing a new head unit in the dash is a pain in the @$$! I did this when I was 19yo, by carefully cutting then fabricating a trim ring that would allow a CD player to sit at the correct angle while also covering my cuts. If I knew then what I know now, I probably would have just mounted it under the dash.
