Exclamation Speedo Not Working, Dies Unless Constantly Giving Gas

Well I'm running low on money. I had an 03 Hyundai Tiburon GT and this car was just given to me after my roll over/ejected accident. Anyway:

The speedometer doesn't work, or it does on its own will, and it quits at random.

I just had a shop replace the Mass Air Flow sensor and the car started to run again, and I think that was a total waste of $220. But now it's just doing the same old stuff and I have to drive with a foot on the brake and a foot on the gas because if I dont give it gas constantly and the rps plummet it dies, and I just know that's terrible on my brakes and transmission.

In park it has a very rough idle. Sounds like a misfire to me too. Not sure if these problems are even related.

The check engine is on, and this car has like 69,000 miles on it. It's an 89 Bonneville.
