96 Prelude VTEC vs 86 MR2(N/A)

My friend just bought his mr2 and i'm wondering who'd win?

96 Prelude VTEC - Stock
vs
86 MR2 (Non-Turbo) - w/muffler

his car has considerably less hp than mine i think 120 or 130 and its um...old as fuck (nothing against old cars..i'm just saying his car is somewhat worn down)...

the thing i'm worrying about is that his is lighter and rwd (more direct power to the ground)

Thumbs up

I searched for what the HP was on the NA first gen Mr2s, and couldn't find a thing. But i did find that the s/c engines had 145 HP, so i would imagine that his car has quite a bit less than 120-130 HP. Considering that your car has 190 horses, i think that you will slotter him!!! Even though his car is ~300-400 lighter, you should still win. Good luck .

From what I found, it has:

Horsepower 115 @ 6000 RPM
Torque (lb-ft) 110 @ 4500 RPM
2350lbs.

That a lot lighter, but its not THAT much. You should kick his ass unless you are a really bad driver,

HI , there

i think the first 2 gears of the MR2 will be a little dissapointing to you,
because of the rwd/lightweight ,he might gain a car of distance, but by the end of your 2nd gear i think youŽll be smoking him. :finger:
hehehe

Keep Rolling
