Killed...93' Prelude vs. 00' Prelude VTEC
There are 3 Prelude's in my Car Club. 2 of which are 5th gens. So I decided to challenge Prelude Supremacy last night and race the more powerful one.
The first race was my closest. From a stop. We was crusing back and forst from our local spot that we sit every night (which just so happens to be my place of employment) untill we caught a red light. Upon green we both took off. I launched at 3,000 rpms for a good jump. Because of my better bottom end torque (H23) I got the jump but it was soon over when he hit teh VTEC goodness that I don't have yet. Race 1: Near's 00' Lude > K-Dog's 93' Lude...by about a car length. Sencond race isn't even worth talking about... Let's put it this way, we went from a roll...yeah it wasn't pretty. Race 2: Near's 00' Lude FAR> than K-Dog's 93' Lude Summary, this is why I'm converting to VTEC...cause it's the determining difference in races. This is the same guy that is helping me build my Prelude to shut one certain person up. Fun night... -Brian |

I think the H23 was a great thing, low end torque is just a beauty, but the way the H22s perform in higher ends is just amazing. Plus it should be a pretty quick swap for you.
Good deal and keep us updated. |

I thought you had already disassembled your engine?? I could have sworn you said that in a previous thread, or did you just say you had the parts, i'm not to sure right now because i've had a tad to much to drink tonight....

Mildly modified with bolt on's and a few internals for the H23 head such as machined H23 cams and timing gears. Nothing big, it still gets outran. Quote:
