Finally I have been able to made some new arragements at home, and also my fathers home.

Some kind of "dream" has come true now, to get these one of the greatest history of supercars and racing cars to the same place.
Only Miura and Diablo is missing, but I'm working on it.
Left the UT's to my fathers home capasity reasons. 1/18's are not so good to display, as you all well know.

I paid the earlier mentioned €150 for it, I like the model and the details.

Does anyone know, [Doc?] if the hand-written limited edition numbers on the Autobarn plates any way make these models inferior to the 'stamped' limited edition numbers? I have both on my models, and have an opportunity on getting another but the number /100 is written in felt pen.....

I guess you mean those ones that have only "F.1 GTR" as description, not the original full detail descriptions of the race and the date with the stamped numbers. Those "F.1 GTR" badges are not the real deal even those are sold as originals on eBay, with fake labels on the outer box. Some of them seems to be factory made (or at least from the same series as the factory builts) but they might have some imperfections like not so well added decals or some other minor flaws, but also some are without noticeable flaws but are not within the official 100 pieces. These might be e.g. samples or pieces that the builders have done extra. Then there have also been straight forward fakes, built from a (copied) kit with possibly copied or leaked decals, but these have been quite rare lately.

I would say that at least I would not pay the full value of an official release model for these "F.1 GTR" badged ones, but if it seems to be at the level of the official ones, I could maybe say the value of those are 50-80% of the official ones. Depends on the model in case.

Few years back I got such "F.1 GTR" for real bargain price (maybe 1/3 of the original at that time) and as I inspected it, it is exactly similar to the official ones and not even slightest flaw on it, so I'll keep it. ;)

It is a lot of coin for 1/18. But on the positive side, it means that AutoArt has the rights to produce McLarens..... meaning an assortment of detailed McLarens in the works.

Romu (http://www.romu-romu.com/category/144.html) seems to be already taking pre-orders for the HPI's 1:43 LM'97 GTRs #39, 41, 42 and 43. Should be available in October. Sadly there are no images of the models yet.

I really don't know prices, thats why I want advice :). Trademe is basically our local version of ebay, so can ask whatever price they like.

$120US after so many years is fair for inflation I guess, but is the model still worth it?
Oh, and I realise that for $50US the 2nd one will be average at best, but for $50US is it good value? The second one is being sold by a local model store, so may be able to have a look myself...

Well, I have paid those about 100-150€, it's quite a mirracle if you get one under 100€ or £. Model which has an orginal box and condition is mint.

XP1 LM could be over 200£ and infact some UT's "presentation" livery and #16R/17R's I have saw way over priced, close to 250£ or more.

So....100-150 is fair price, I think?

Yes, it is an IXO and I like it. Paid about $45US for it, the guy has another one just like it from memory. Hope that was a good deal!

For those who have been waiting for the Minichamps 1:18 GTR and 1:12 road car releases there's bad news; they are postponed again, this time to October. :(

I hope the coming AutoArt release of the road car has increased the pressures to make those 1:18 models more detailed than the old UT/Minichamps GTRs, not just re-realising the old ones with just minor upgrades like added brake calipers seen on the prototypes.
