Well another twist on the mayo saga. I was talking to my cousin about mayo (after she watched me dip fries in it) and she said she hates mayo but loves tartar sauce. But what is tartar sauce made of? It looks like it has the same base ingredients as mayo, but with extra crap added. I don't eat the stuff cause it looks like spoiled mayo with old relish mixed in. Plus I'm not a fan of fish, so I have nothing to eat it on.

Well tartar sauce is mayo and finely chopped pickled cucumber, capers, onions or chives and fresh parsley or you can just mix mayo with relish. I actually love the stuff and for me it goes good with fries also. Especially the fries from Long John Silvers.

See your cousin probably like tartar sauce but not mayo because tartar sauce really doesnt have the mayo taste due to all the extra ingredients.

I think the main reason I hate seafood so much is because when my dad used to watch me and my sister, his culinary accumen consisted of fish sticks, fish sticks, and more fish sticks. Occasionally he got creative and fed us the rare fish patty instead. :shakehead

good choice, the stuff is rank. when my mum cooks fish i sit in my room with the windows open, i don't go into the kitchen until the next day. the smell makes me want to puke, it's so vile. i'm going to buy a gas mask (full face) for when she cooks the evil crap.

I agree with you Chris fish sticks are some sick shit! I do love REAL fish though, like some nice broiled Tilapa.....hmmmmmm good stuff right there with some homemade tartar sauce.

I've watched my friends at school pay ridonkulous amounts for shrimp or crab legs, then they cook it and fill their house with that nauseating smell and ea the whole batch, and they're stil hungry. Why pay so much for a food that won't even fill you up? I'd rather buy a big ass cut of steak, have the house smell like a butcher's dream, and be stuffed into immobility after I'm done.

Well see people like the seafood because depending on how you cook it, it has less calories. Dont get me wrong I would take a nice Filet mignon over seafood anyday :) Seafood fills me up and i'm a big guy so I dont know it wouldnt wouldnt fill up people unless they arent eating that much.

i've never had miracle whip. it's offered in canada but i see no reason to switch. i love mayo and i doubt miracle whip could be better.

Fried chicken and steak are two of the only things I would never put mayo on. Unless they were presented in sandwich form. I think everything else is fair game.

Its only acceptable in tuna salad , chicken salad, and egg salad. And even then, mayo is better. Be glad you've never had it. I guess its only sold in the US. Thank god we haven't burdened the rest of the earth with this stuff
