Like it must be a 350 WS6 w/Ram Air Hood in either Autp or manual
Since we are being picky....the LS1 is actually a 346ci.
The auto is better for the strip. The M6 is just fun to drive.
Good luck on your search if you decide to get one!!

i hav been wanting one for a few years. I dont know all the details or all the options, just I gotta hav a new one! The first one that got me hooked was a Gold 98' TA one of only i think it was 500 produced with all the bells and whistles. But it was $28k, real low miles, this was in 2002.
So thats a little outa my price range(for cash anyway). Not to mention the insurance premiums(lots-o-tickets). I just want a nice newer V8 with the plenty of power, you never know when you might need it. Like those quick late night trips to the grocery store. LOL..

Hating on other car types is so childish and ignorant. Do you realize that the turbo's that Import guys put in there cars were invented by a domestic car corperation and were used in commercial vehicles. that is where the turbo deal all started. so basically your taking domestic products and technology and using it in your imports to improve them. Not to say domestic guys don't do the same, but just some insight to your view.
Also, what makes an import so much better? I know your type and you probably think they are more refined and have better technology. Let me ask you this? sure vtec and i vtec help gas with out killing all power, but wheres the torque? i used to own a civic and i had to get rid of it cause it was the most annoying car to drive. you'd rev the piss out of it to get it to move and it would take forever to get going. bottom line is sure hondas and other imports make better hp per liter, but the power is still low do to the fact that there is no replacment for displacment. which is why most domestic cars have bigger engines. in my opinion, for a daily driver i would choose a domestic over an import do to easy drivability. and domestics are still getting just as good of gas as most imports. And in my opinion i would choose a domestic for a fast car as well.

Anyhow, heres my car:
1991 Firebird Formula
L98 350( soon to be redone)
RPM performer intake manifold
Long tube headers
flowmaster one chamber mufflers( 3inch true dual exhaust)
650 quadrajet carb
Over this winter i'm gonna be doing a bunch of work such as new heads, cam, better intake manifold and a bigger holley carb. i'm also probably gonna run a decent shot of nitrous and have my tranny rebuilt.

I'm currently looking for a good 383 stroker kit and a good cam also what kind of additional things would I have to do w/ these mods (i.e., tranny, valves, valvesprings, etc.) to ensure good reliability THX

Thanks. I didn't really like "Arctic White" but I got such a good deal on the car I couldn't pass it up. Since paint jobs were so expensive I looked at the 30th anniversary decal kits. Then I found the rally bird decal kit for $200 on the internet. So I picked a nice bright blue, installed it myself in 3 hours and have been very happy with the looks ever since. I even lit up the Formula badges as well as the lug nut covers with some leftover decal pieces I had.

Here are two of my cars. I actually painted the hard top in my driveway and it turned out killer!!! I replaced the rear quarter panels before the paint. The paint alone cost $1600.The convertible has a Tri Power set up and is a 4 sp with 3:42 posi rear end. It also has deluxe interior complete with a factory 8 track. Power top. Thrush side pipes.
I dont know about anyone else but that is just nuts having more then one... ild be obliged to take care if one if you ever feel the need:naughty: . kidding, i have my own work ahead of me

I didn't know if I posted before, but here's my '97 Trans Am WS6.
It's got everything but headers done to it, including NOS and we've debated turbo, but that'll be in the future.
I also have an '87 and '92 which are ok, but I'll be using the '87 engine in another project and puting a 350 custom built carb engine in it because of how cool they look. I have pictures of these cars, but I they aren't that exciting.

http://community.webshots.com/album/456080551VblaRR
It started out as a esprit. But I liked a little bit of everything on the trans am and formula from 79. So I took the best looking stuff from 79 and put it in to my car. I also aquired a 70 350 from a tired firebird and it was rebuilt and I put it in. Then I added the trans am rear package..posi and sway bar, new springs and bushings.
Don't crush classic cars!!!, we need them. There dissapering quickly

It just turned 58000 I still use it as a daily driver. Plan on taking it off the road after this year. No track or dyno numbers. I have added a cold air intake,MAF,SLP bellows,SLP lid,K&N,Strut tower bar,and exhaust. I want to SC but thats not untill it's off the road.

Thanks again
suggest drop those corvette stuffs on the engine
I will fill in and place Formula in its place , then clear coat. Just havent had the time (just had knee replaced)
Did all the work myself and that has keep the price down. I have no idea what it would cost to buy this car as it sets today... I will say that they only made 1,300 of these cars in 2000. Was going to sell it and buy a vette, but decided to keep this car and next year install a SuperCharger and suspension work...

I say keep the corvette stuff, it's a corvette derived engine, right?

Thats why I havent been in a real hurry to correct, not to mention a real pain in the ass to remove.
I will eventually correct them...

Finally got some pics of my rides. The Bird is an 83 T/A, mostly original but had to replace the 305 with a crate 350. It needs a little body work also, it's original paint. 250,000 miles on it. The Blazer is a 98 LS.

thats a nice '83 ya got there :bigthumb:, i love third gens, but it looks like theres a bit of damage on the right rear of the car, is there a funny story behind that one?
83T/A98Blazer
04-30-2006, 09:18 PM
Well, it's not exactly funny... I got this car in 85, I'm the second owner. I kept it in pretty mint condition for a good number of years although it was my daily driver. One day I was parked in my parents driveway behind my mom's pickup. Yup, she gets in and backs right into my car! After that it was a free-for-all. It got hit, while parked, FOUR times that summer. The right rear happened at a party, someone sideswiped it and left. I blame it all on my mom, she jinxed it! Well, it is kinda funny now, but it sure wasn't then!:)

four times?? thats sucks, oh well at least no more have happened since, your car still looks pretty good, i think fixin up the dents and a nice paint job would make it just look awesome, make sure to post some pics if you ever do :grinyes:
