Thanks everyone, I used white glue (krystal klear) to attacht the foil. Foil is pretty thin and easily pliable.

More updates time.

I sprayed all carbon fiber with generous gloss, so the monocoque is looking realistic. Fitted with interior and firewall and dashboard... here are the pics:

I use testors gloss or Tamiya clear, or sometimes one on top of the other. They do not react to one another.

Speechless... Closer on the way to perfection than any plastic-made kit I've seen before!... (look at that shine ont the sides: it's so smooth!)

I'm totally in awe. No words come to mind to describe this. I bet you'll even order the Ferrari red paint just to match...that would be sick.

I thought he said he was painting it black? Also, Ferrari paint is just like any other paint, except for quality. You could probably go out to your Auto paint store and ask for some of it, I forgot who makes the Ferrari paint though, but they do sell it all over. Its not called Ferrari paint either, just like Strawberry red or something. Not trying to flame you or anything though.

It's Ferrari Red..plain and simple. Now, marrio andretti red...that's a 1off paint.

slk320
04-24-2004, 10:49 PM
The paint will be metallic black, it will match the wheels.

Here is the progress pics, but I have to appologise, because I was experimenting with a new shareware (vuepro) and unfortunately it left watermarks in the picture :(

here is the updated version. this is the tool bag from Ferrari that is located in the front boot area. Since the front compartment will be hnged and opened I decided to make it a little more fun... so I used real leather! Thanks for the technique I learned from Alex Kustov, from www.italianhorses.net, I got the leather real thin and pliable.

here are the pics:

Nice detailed buildup. I added radiator hoses to mine like you have and they created alot of problems with the fit of the engine cover - beware!

There is never anything called too much detail.

Too much work on the other hand....

Still lovin' it, slk. This place, seriously ruining kits. Subway's FD, Nismo's Xanavi, now your Enzo... I want to see this badboy in life when done, no amount of pics will capture its detail and thoroughness.

slk320
04-29-2004, 04:06 PM
thanks everyone! I test fit the radiator, and I am going to have to bend the lines little, but should fit with little problems. sorry fo the bad quality of the pics, but once I let it dry a little and polish it out I will tkae some day light photos.

the rear suspension is made up too and came out pretty good.
