A critique: what a shame, such a beautifull job for such an ugly car!
No, no! I'm joking!!!!!!!! But I'm still thinking all these skills (kit, transkit, modeler....) would be much better applied on something like an Aston Martin Vanquish, for example!...
CF decals look real good, it's the first time I see so convincing 1/24 CF decals!... and well applied, of course!
The wiring job completely astonishes me!
...
I'll keep searching for a bad comment... See you tomorrow!...

This is the sort of thread that makes me want to put all my tools away and take a nap. I guess that means its a good thing that I hadn't seen it until now, a few more weeks without a modelling inferiority complex!
Great work Love the detail Detail is fun for everyone, fun to make and fun to look at, especially when it's spot on like this is. Hooray for SLK!

Mored updates time:
finished constructing the basic shape of the nose, this is not easy as the trunk lid separates two sides of the front clip.. here is the pic:
http://www.joeyandmona.com/albums/album136/1_G_006.sized.jpg
and here you can see the new fuel filler door that will be operational on the completed model.

completed, wired and detailed engine block:

I also started construction of small underhood items, that needed extra attention in terms of manufacturer labels, data plates, proper wiring and connectors, etc.

thanks everyone,
The manufacturer decals are actually from aircraft models. 1/48 scale airplane sometimes yeild terrific manufacturer data plates and under the hood stickers.
I think it was WIllimo who wanted some company to make an underhood manufacturer decals, I agree!!! all these superdetail kits don't include simple decals for underhood stuff..

Yup it was. I've also found HO and N scale railroad decals work, though they tend to be expensive and you waste a lot of decal.

So the Enzo doesn't have a clutch? Is the tranny sequential? That's no fun. Fantastic work, I've got to agree with everyone. Just fantastic. The cigarette foil is a great resource, it looks perfect. Someone needs to start ordering it direct from the manufacturer and sell it, I only get it from my friends and by then it's all crumpled up... Oh wow, fantastic build! You've got me saving my nickles and dimes so I can get the SMS kit for the Williams F1.... superdetailing looks like fun!!
