Finished: Norisbank Impreza WRC

A few shots of the Norisbank sponsored Impreza WRC from the 1999 Rally Deutschland. I finished this kit a while ago. Quite an interesting kit to build. The actual car ran the year before in a white livery, and the exterior only was sprayed orange. Thus, I painted the insides of the shell, and all interior, white and the exterior orange - painting the shell two different colours is annoying. The transfer kit was from Studio 27, sourced from John Lancaster and Grand Prix Miniatures:

http://www.grandprix.minitures.com.au/

The decals had a few issues around the curve of the car, particularly at the rear, and the blue is not quite the right shade - but other than that they a good.

Enjoy....

Stunning livery, very impressive.

One question, how did you paint the window and roof rubbers? They look a bit rough, like they were freehanded with a brush - may just be the photograph. Try making and spraying with an airbrush, then touching up with a Gundam style permanent marker, will make a world of differrence.

Again very pretty model!

Looks like John finally updated his webpage Well half updated.
