Talking Not to be outdone by GTmike.....(56k warn)

I tore down one of my Hot Wheels, and ratted it!

Here's what it started out looking like:

(The black one)

And after about 4 hours, and a big bloody hole in my thumb, heres what I came up with:

Mods list:

-Lowered
-Painted grill, chassis, firewall, wheels/tires, exhaust tips and lakes pipes caps, and a door
-Added pinstriping/lettering
-Turned into a highboy

Comments?

Oh, and I dedicate this lovely rat to my buddy Mike.

Re: Not to be outdone by GTmike.....(56k warn)

Im doing more work on tonight, just taking a dinner break right now. That dark plastic piece unedr the body is gone, and Im channeling the body. I have also put new wheels and tires of a much higher quality on it.

Pics in a while!

Also, if anyone has any ideas for the interior, Im all ears. I want to do something like a mexican blanket seat cover, but that would be terrible to paint, so if anyone has any siggestions...

The new wheels:

Ill get more pics of it as soon as I get the bed and floor squared away. But just for imagination's sake, it is now fully channeled.

Also, Mike gave me a great idea for making a mexican blanket using thin stripes of colored masking tape.

Awesome job, but the steelies should be red. The green clashes horribly, they look like booger-snot.

Re: Not to be outdone by GTmike.....(56k warn)

Updates!

Better pics from the updates of last night, plus a new steering wheel, and if you look very very closely on the driver side, you can see the first of a few dash plaques im putting on the firewall.

And work still to do:
Shifter knob
More Dash Plaques
Considering some empty beer cans...
Repaint the pinstripes and number
Maybe a tonneau cover or tail gate

Any other ideas are totally welcome!

And, of course, comments Please!

Edit:

And I borrowed my Dad's version of this car, which is identical to what mine looked like when I started for comparison purposes...
