Just smacked the rolla

Coming around a right hand sweeper at about 60km/h, right hand lane, median strip on the right, saw something dart out in front of the car. Tried to brake and steer to the right to correct, completely lost the arse of the car, went all over 2 lanes, mounted the median strip - straight over into 3 lanes of on coming. No cars thankfully, decided I couldn't stay there so booted it over the gutter on the other side. Car was OK, but tyre deflating fast. Couldn't change it there so jumped back in and drove down the road a bit. Put the spare on. Leaked the tiniest bit of radiator fluid after(could have been doing that anyway).

Alignment is completely shot - limped it home nearly going all over the road.

Tomorrow I'm up for 2 (probably 4) new tyres, a full alignment and a check up of suspension components and engine components. I reckon the front right is bent somewhere - don't know if it can be fixed or not.

Fuck.

I can't push my car very fast.
I got my car up to 150 on a quiet highway near Helensburge and Wollongong once. Actually, I do it all the time!.

Re: Just smacked the rolla

the upside...nobody got hurt, and the replacement parts shouldn't be hard to find.

Downside still sucks though.

Re: Just smacked the rolla

It is never fun to do damage to your car. For me(I am crazy) once you get it fixed it still never feels the same as before.

Good luck

Re: Just smacked the rolla

good thing you are ok, but it still sucks about the car.

hmm, surprised nobody asked this yet: did you actually see something run out in front of you, or did you think you saw something?

for those who DON'T get what i stated, good for you.(seriously)
