Open Interface Tom's SC430
Hi,
this is my Tamiya Open Interface Tom's SC 430.Built mostly oob, I've only added the bonnet pins from photo-etched parts and a subtle weathering. Somehow I am with the photos are not completely satisfied. I think you can see the weathering not really. I must have only time to get used to my new camera (new is relatively - I had it for almost 3 years - since I have completed no more model). Jens |

Re: Open Interface Tom's SC430
Wow, looks like a pretty flawless build to me. I'm especially impressed by the panel lines and how I'm glad your paint and clear aren't laid on too thick. I like the mix of the showroom shine with the subtle weathering detailing. Good job! A fine example for an oob build.

Re: Open Interface Tom's SC430
This is the first time I see 'proper' pictures of SC430 model and I must admit I am surprised. On all those low res, small photos I have seen so far, the car looked crap and now I can see it is a beautiful racer.
Great job. I am impressed. |

Re: Open Interface Tom's SC430
Hi,
thanx for all your comments. Yes, the panel lines are always important to me. I do not like when they (or other details) are flooded with paint. Therefore, I engrave the panel lines first ever deeper. Here they are engraved on the left side, right they are original Here can see how deep they are after. The disadvantage is sometimes, that the decals do not extend all the way down. wrx_triggerhappy, with build reports I always have my difficulties. One problem is that I sometimes interrupt the work for a long time or only sporadically working on a model. Sometimes I plan to take pictures - but then forget it. But if they have any questions I can answer that. Greetings, Jens |

Re: Open Interface Tom's SC430
Thanx.
I like the JGTC cars too - I'm building currently also others. The Castrol Mugen NSX '98 is almost done, it just needs the wheels and rear wing. |
