Windshield Wiper Motor Problem!
I recently changed the wiper motor. But not keeping track of the position of the wipers position, I put everything back together and when i turned the wipers on, the were not in the original park-position. It's like they are off timing. Now, when I turn them off, they stay on the up position. I am wondering how to put them back to their original park position. Can Anyone give me some advice on how to put them in their original park position? If you don't understand what I'm trying to say, please ask me, I really need help as this is our family van. I have been reading this repair guide in the Autozone website: Can anyone help me understand it?
http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us...rInfoPages.htm This website in Autozone.com gives an explanation of what it the park position. I am working on it now, if anyone can help, I will be waiting a response.

Re: Windshield Wiper Motor Problem!
So why not just remove your wiper arms where they stop and put them back on- down in the "park" position?? That shaft is splined- will accept the wiper arm in any position- so put it where it goes...

Re: Windshield Wiper Motor Problem!
I have the same problem with my 1998 Buick Regal. I turned on the wipers with to much snow on the windshield and it threw the wipers out of whack. They work fine except for when they are stopped on intermittent. They stop in the UP position and nothing I do seems to help. I have done what was recommended to to previous writer but it hasnt helped my problem. Any suggestions to further resolve this problem? If so, please email me at brebou1@msn.com and please put BUICK REGAL in the subject line so I dont accidentally delete. Thanks for any help you can give!

brebou1,
You could also perform a SEARCH of the Buick archives and find the solution here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=767192

Re: Windshield Wiper Motor Problem!
The wipers on my girlfriends car stop in the up position when turned off. Neither one of us has done anything to throw them off. Would resetting the wiper arms in the down position fix this problem?
