Saw a Carrera GT this morning.
I live in west palm beach florida, and down by the Gardens Mall (if anybody knows where that is) was a Carrera GT on PGA Boulavard. I was going in the opposite direction so i couldn't get a picture before it sped off. exhaust note made me shit myself!

That awesome..... I'm still waiting for my lucky day when my eyes lay upon a Carrera GT on the street.

Same. My friend's dad is buying one in mid-may (the date got pushed back from mid-march). I saw a CGT at the Minneapolis Auto Show. So it wasn't a "real" sighting, but it was still a CGT!

Re: Saw a Carrera GT this morning.
^ You must be talking about 911 GT3's and GT2's.
The Carrera GT is a completely different animal: |

Do you have to be invited to buy one? That car gives me chills every time I hear the exhaust note. I would take one any day over an Enzo, plus its faster on a tight course.

Re: Saw a Carrera GT this morning.
actually.... if what he saw on the rear of the car was 911 GT then chances are it was a 993 GT2, which to the best of my memory was the only 911 to be badged with just "911 GT" above that red strip.
the 996s are badged "GT3" and "GT2" of course, the owner could have just bought a "GT" badge and stuck it on..... |

Re: Saw a Carrera GT this morning.
Ignoring the expense of the car would you rather have a GT2 or a GT? I think that a strong case could be made for either.

I've already seen 2 of the 6 (so ive heard) CGT's in Ontario Canada. I've talked to both owners, one of them is in his late 30's and owns a few Sunaco gas stations, the other owner is the president of a home making company called Mattamy Homes. The guy who owns the gas stations revved the engine for me while i was standing behind it, and ive never had my pants so tight to my legs, the pressure of the exhaust is incredible.
