Here's the first pics of the latest project. ...the Prime-Evil
Seems to have taken forever to get the body done as i've spent alot of time trying to get it just right.
The body had the seem lines removed then sanded with 1500 grit paper then primmed in 3 coats of primer before being sprayed with 4 coats of Tamiya Deep Metallic Blue.
The paint has a great deep wet look to the colour which is one of the main reasons i went for it. Its very similiar to one of the cars in our club that looks sweet.
Body will be oven baked at work tonight then given a good polish with compound and wax before the detail work goes on it.
Rest of the car is slowly coming together.
Wheels are undecided at this stage...waiting on my order to arrive before i make up my mind.

Great job so far.
How do you manage not even getting a spec of dust while painting?
That looks like glass.

Do you have a paint booth with robot arms or do you have a robot arm to control the spray. Or are you too damn good for all of us!

I think your too good man!

Keep it up cause your are my muse!

Looking good Warren, colour and paint perfect as ever!

Make sure you get a nice wide track on the wheels, I noticed with the race car kit the wheels hide under the body too much. Get them as close to the outer edge as you can, it'll look as cool as hell!
Eyes on this one mate, can't wait to see it done!

That car looks like a mirror. Your painting is flawless.

Did you use an airbrush or is it a spraycan?

It's too shiney! I can't see it. I try and look where I think it is, but all I can see is other parts of your yard. It's like a black hole; bending light around itself. :sun:

WOw... that paint job is amazing, so was it with cans?? anyways, I think that you should use the wheels with the big ass P on the box, and do u think u could show me a pic of those Volk racing rims out of the box, cuz i am ordering some and wanna see them...

Jonno
10-02-2002, 08:54 PM
You shouldn't of posted that here, because chances are, all the replies will jst make you more confused :p

but I would go for either the "V.I.P Junction Produce", "Pleasure V.I.P" or the "Regamaster Wheel" (I have a thing for 5 spoked wheels)
The Andrew Goltdish ones look alright, but they wouldn't be my first choice.

We need see what the wheels look like on the car....for the wheel reason and to see the car :D

Daryl
10-02-2002, 08:56 PM
I also say the Versus EU

are you going for a pimp look or sporty look.

primera man
10-03-2002, 05:53 PM
I've narrowed it down to only two now.
The first pic is the OZ Racing rims and the second are the VERSUS-152 which have been primed then painted in Tamiya Silver Leaf.

I'm leaning towards the Versus-152's
