Thankyou to everybody that said which rims to use .......but i have decided to go with the 152's.
Today the underneath was put together to see how the wheels will sit with the final look being almost like the pics posted below.
The car has not been lowered, this is straight from the box.... IMO the height looks darn sweet with the rims
The rims are just perfect for fitting straight on to the disc's with no sanding or removing of the rim centre "hub" at the back of the wheel.....they will be glued straight onto the disc.
Bare metal foil added to lights today...... and next will be seeing how the windows look with a tint added to them.
Cheers

ITS TO LOW!!!!!!!!
You need to get the same ride height as your own real Primera.
IMO its perfect! (and if questioned I will deny ever complementing your car  )

hey p-man looking good, ;) but IMO it's alittle low and the camber is too neg. i know i know i know it's how it comes in the kit. just one question what type of bare metal foil is that? eg. chrome? bright chrome? silver? etc... oh and how do you get the pieces of the foil so tight against the edges of the body/"light casing"?

The BMF is the Chrome.
I cut the bits about 3 times bigger then what is need. I lay it over the light then press down into the light hollow with my finger so it sits tightly into the light. From there just smooth it around the rest of the light and it should turn out OK.
From there i use a soft toothbrush to get into all the lines and corners before using a sharp knife to run around the BMF before removeing the excess foil.
The height will be left as is....i have never had to raise a kit before....lol
Here's a pic from underneath.......Will get a "fat" exhaust tip and a little bit more smaller detail to finish the underneath off

Question: Does a pass with the polishing compound actually degrade your finish? :coolguy: I think you could head straight to the wax!! :)

Looking very nice Pman. I still can't find any of that sticking foil in Australia! Everything looks like its going well, have you had any problems with it so far? Paint is nice, I swear it was a very dark blue before.

Looks like I'll have to admit myself into my 'hospital'!!

The PMan is very DISTRAUGHT after today !!!
Today was "Tint" day on the widows. I had everything cut, the black around the windows was painted and everything was looking good.
After cutting the clear window piece off the trees, i noticed how thin it was. Not like the normal thickness of clear glass. It was quite flexable and i said to myself ....."PMan, your gonna have to be bloody careful getting the tint onto the window or it will crack"
Well you guessed right.....i'm now the proud owner of a 1.5cm crack in the back window right in the bloody middle from the bottom    ....no prize for guessing the PMan is in a very filthy mood at present
Lucky enough it wont be to noticable and i'll probably use a sticker from the kit to try and hide it a bit.
The tint is now history and the windows will now be left clear:( :(
PS......Dont anybody dear ask for a pic  :finger:  :finger:

grrrr... How sorry I am for you PMan.
I might have missed it at some point here, but what did you mean with tinting? making it darker? Did the actual window crack? or some foil that you put on it? You could add some sticker over it, style "Proud to be Loud" or something like that to camouflage.
Hope you can find something, cause that is one sweet looking Primera so far. Besides, that's where Masters really show why tey're the master, but finding solutions for s..ing problems right? Show us how you overcome this one!! :D

Since you are upset about your cracked window, I thought I would share with you what happened to my Peugeot 206 this morning.
I'll help fix your cracked window if you'll help fix my Pug:D

Mr P-Man
It is a long story, but I think that car was not made to be built, I had to strip it twice before I got a good paint job on it, then when I have a good paint job and all the window trim done, I screwed it up again.....the picture tells the final outcome....hehe
I plan on ordering a new body from Tamiya tomorro.....
I am thinking of having it shipped to the P-house where I know it will get a good paint job.....hehe

Guys: stop thrashing poor little Pugs!!!!!!! j/k :uhoh: :looks_cautiously_at_his_60%_finished_206:
Warren: why no tint? The film will cover the crack nicely. Or are you just too cautious to handle the window any more?

Yep....:( You have to press down quite hard to get all the bubbles etc out of the tint and it will only crack it more.
With it being so thin i'm worred it will crack the front also.

You should order a replacement window from tamiya.

You could tint the window by spraying Smoke X-19?? Try out on the broken one, then order a new one and repeat the proces there - just a suggestion... ;)

I busted the same part of the same glass on my Primera too! This was a while ago though. I think to mold they used was way too thin. This part is almost impossible to work with the way it is. I got rid of it, and made new windows w/ clear sheet styrene. The result is pretty good IMO. If you are careful (I stress), you can cut out only the broken back window and replace it with some clear sheet. I think it would look good. :D
