Q1... Honestly I'm not sure 'bout that. I know Dodge and Mitsu are closely related, but not sure...

Q2... Turbo and every bolt on you can think of. In this months Sport Compact Car mag, they have 'Project Neon'. They upgrade 15hp with a mopar kit of cam and springs. But the previous addons include intake, exhaust, pullies, etc. Really, you should read it up. Its actually the 3rd article of the series... Check out Feb. '02 issue for the 2nd article, and I'm not sure about the 1st article. Anywho... To get 220hp you have to do a lot. A cam and simple bolt ons only bring it to 135hp. C'mon... 220 would include a nice shot of nitrous with a turbo. So, check that out. But I'd love to get mine to 220, but its gon' take a lot of bills. I'm looking into gettin' a custom trubo built shortly... They run cheaper than the Hahn Racecraft S1 or S2 turbos.

Heh... That 'mint green' ads an instant spray on 25.6 hp! I tried it! You go with 'navy blue' you spray on 30 hp! So choose your colors wisely.

I used to work at a Dodge dealership and a lot of the cars had Mitsubishi engines in them, and the Neon and Eclipse gs share a similar engine but the GS-T AND GSX models don't just have a turbo ''added'' to them. Those models have a totally different engine layout and different specs and a turbo all made by Mitsubishi.

Also, Chrysler owns 85 percent of the voting stock of Mitsubishi. They have been doing this since the 80s, what makes you people so surprised?

That information is extremely important to me, could you tell me wich engine is the one in the 94-95 Neon that si the same of mitsubishi?

I'm thinking of buying a Neon, but people here (Dominican Republic)are afraid of buying the car because parts are expensive and hard to get, but if you tell me what engine model number is the one for Mitsubishi, then You will make a happy man!

The 420A in non-turbo DSM (Eclipse, Talon...) is the same short block as the Neon engine. The head on the DSM is different, though - front exhaust exit, rear intake.

The Neon engine is often (mistakenly) called the 420A, but it is the S4RE (SOHC - non-Magnum) and D4RE (DOHC). Because of the different heads used, they are not all the same engine. At least not exactly.

And unless I'm mistaken, the engine in the new MINI is more or less a 1.6L version of the Neon engine with yet another head.

Sure as long as you can get a manifold to work with it. The SOHC Mitsu manifold will not bolt onto a Neon engine, SOHC or DOHC.
