Okay, so the Tv man & I are going for it bigtime...


1981 DeLorean DMC12: 2.8l V6, 130HP
VERSUS
1993 Ford T-Bird: 5.0l V8, 300HP


Tell me how we should go for it & who you think will win!

By the way, I can belive 130hp for the SS boat but I am not sure about 300hp for the thunderchicken! These are both heavy cars, I think the thunderbird weighs in at about 3500lbs! I still think it will have enough to pull this one out.

I dont know if it is 4200 pounds, but thats what the lil metal plate on the inside of the door, which is required by manufactures as so says the law

And it is more around 235hp, not 300...yet :bandit:

Find a really curvy road, and show that T-Bird what a Lotus designed chassis can do. It really doesn't matter how you race because the Delorean will lay waste to that T-Bird no matter what. DMC Pride!

It doesn't matter how good a driver you are... when your car sticks to the road like mine, then curvy mountain roads would actually be the ultimate test! Your heavy-azz Ford would fall right off the cliff!

Unless I missed something the delorean was a complete flop. Stick to the road, ya maybe by that years standards, but minivans reach that level today. The reason it did not sell was related to power, handeling and looks. Ya, Im sure everybody wants the same color, great idea. I have nothing aginst delorians, I think they make a great conversation piece and would be an interesting car to own.
