93 SI Prelude track times

Ran my prelude at the track for the first time last night...I have a K&N drop in filter(came with the car), 17's and H&R lowering springs...I ran consistent 10.4's in the 1/8th mile...Is this good? My reaction times sucked, need to work on it...My exhast pipe has holes and is rusted...having it replaced with custom pipe and magnaflow muffler next week. They are having import nights at the track one night of the month for the rest of the summer. I'm going to run them all, with as many mods as I can afford in between...

no help in that post.

my 89 lude si (which is pretty modified)

runs 10.4 in the 1/8 mile. and 16.1 in the 1/4. this is on a bad track that is mildly uphill with poor traction.

you may be different in the 1/4 time, but our 1/8 is equal. for what the motor is in your car, and the power/weight, it's not bad.

I should have at least intake and exhaust by next import night, will see what happens then, especially since my exhaust has leaks...

a leaky exh will not kill your performance, it'll actually help you a bit, as it frees up pressure in the system...

kinda like a ghetto performance system...

Those larger rims are robbing you of some power off the line.

if you still have the stock steelies use them at the track. They weigh alot less and it'll help your time. The intake should help your time but fixing your exhaust probably won't.

I have a AEM CAI now and exhaust...Import night is next Tuesday...Preludes don't come with steelies stock, but I've sold my stocks. I might be able to borrow two 15's for the night though...Will post results next week...
