Just got back from track and got some good times. This was my first time at the track. I have a 97 vr-4 with 14psi, stillen downpipe, intake, bov. My first run i got a 13.51 and then i got 13.421 101.86, then 13.225 at 104.3 mph, then my final run i got 13.191 at 100.60 mph. my best 60ft was 1.866 and my best reaction time was .011. i think thats real good runs for first time at the track. Sounds really good to me, esp for the 1st time at a track.

Agreed, quite good for your first time. Don't you have a new clutch? How were you launching? With more time at the track, you'll be able to shave a bit of that 60', and lower your ETs a few tenths... But again, very nice for your first time.

Re: just got back from the track. TRACK TIMES!!!
Were you dumping it or slipping it? Definantly practice your launch because when you get your 60' in the 1.7s you will be in the 12s

Re: just got back from the track. TRACK TIMES!!!
I used to think dumping was, now I'm slipping it. If done right it 'preloads' the drivetrain a bit and isn't as hard on the t-case. Also, I think it gets you out of the hole quicker, just make sure not to release it too slowly or you will burn your clutch.

Re: just got back from the track. TRACK TIMES!!!
ya thats what i thought to, it feels like u put a lot less pressure on to your t-case, but dude i rather go and burn a clutch rather than busting my t-case or mess up my tranny.
