Door Mods for Sedans

Hey guys/girls , i was looking around a truck magazine. Not by my own free will i swear. . . But in there there was an add for all kinds of mods you can do to your car or truck. And they had a kit you could buy, the Lamborghini style doors. Im pretty sure its just the hinges, but the price is pretty high. But doesnt name cars it can fit ( or would work on )
Does anyone know if this Mod would work for the sedan ? ( front doors are all i need ) And if not, would the Suicide Mod work ? (front and/or all doors) -- And if they had to be modified, what mods would be needed ?
Thx for any input ~*~

The ad was from Autoloc <~~

i think i got an idea on how to do your own.. Tell me if this even MIGHT work.

on autoloc.com, there is these pretty cool Linear Actuators (LA). What is a Linear Actuator you say ?? Well, its only the best .. nah, its like a lil pump w/motor that pushes stuff up. You can use it to lift trunks and hoods automatically. Sounds groovy huh ? They are able to hold up to 800 LBS !!! but just get like a "LA" thats capable of pushing a door up, and mount it to push against some kind of hold on the door, and make special hinges, you think that would kind of be a good start to the complete conversion ?? in the first pic, u can see like some kind of bar or "LA". i dunno.. just some thinkin on how to make a ghetto, but working VDC ( vertical door conversion )

u could do that but that would cost too much and require too much work to the body...and about time u get done...ur into the $900 range....plus u forgot that our doors have to come out a little to go straight up b/c of the door sil

The bolt-in kits on www.decah.net go for around $1600. They do not make them for 4th gen Hatch's, Sedans, or 2nd Gen CRX's yet. Not sure about the Autoloc ones, I've seen the ads in Sport Compact Car, but they haven't updated their web-site with anything.

That black CRX with the Lambo-style doors was all custom work, and I guess the guy took it to like 3 different shops who totally screwed it up and finally decided to do it himself. I'm sure it cost him a bundle.

what i like to see on sedans is the rear doors suicided so that you have the doors open away from each other, and have that big open cabin feel.

Yea, doing my own is prolly more work im willing to do for the VDC. Yea , i saw that , $1,600 , thats including doors too.. i dunno tho. I do like the idea of Suicide doors for the back tho. * sigh * , i dont get it, our gen. is obviously more important & stylish then any other civicz gen. to make some doors and more products for us. I guess they have to give them other gen. civics a chance But if anyone finds somewhere where they sell the kit for 4th gen , plz post it. I wont have the money for it anytime soon with all that im doing now. but its nice to know it exists, and make plans for how much i need to save.

Theres no kit, all those mods have been done before on our cars, i have a 90 foor door too, and seen it done. A body shop will do it but expect paying over $500 or more for suicide style.
