Who has respectable JDM engines?
OK, I finally got the money for a B16a2 or a B18c1 I decide wich one to get later. The main question is I need some help finding a JDM dealer who isnt going to screw me out of $4500. I dont mind paying more for a better product. I want to know about your engine and if you were satisfied with the outcome. Did you have any hidden problems?
Did the dealer help at all? Thanks for any info.

My friend bought an H22 from there on E-bay. The only thing that wasw wrong was that the ropes holding the engine to the pallet damaged the rotor in the distributer and a few minor marks on the valve cover. Those problems only happened because of shipping; nothing that you can do. But his engine runs top shape and was even the last year they made the motor (so it had very low mileage). |

Hmotorsonline has one of the best reputations out of JDM engine dealers. Its well worth the extra money.
If you really want a hassle-free swap, I hear a lot of good things about ImportAutoSalvage (IAS). They have USDM engines and they charge more, but you get an engine that you know the history of, its spotless, and it includes a lot of the little stuff that other places don't include.
