Smile Link to Tamiya Con 2003 pictures!

The 1/12 McLaren MP4/6 built by Bill Attridge won the Grand Prize.

I can see some modelers wasted no time in getting things express shipped from Japan :coolguy:

Some nice stuff but not much to sing and dance about IMHO. There are more exciting models on this forum i think!

Thank you

I must agree with Chris, looking at the larger images of some of those models, they seem to be a bit below the standard I would expext to see at Tamiya Con.

Isn't it great that for the second year running a car model has won top prize? That must REALLY piss off all the aircraft and military modelers.

Not only that but there was a special drawing to reward past winners who helped Tamiya with previous shows. There were four random drawings and three went to car modelers! Those modelers won a second trip to Japan! :flash:

To add:

Walter (wkma7six) took 1st prize in Automotive Factory Stock with his Hamann 360, and 2nd prize in Automotive Box Stock with his Enzo (1st prize went to an Enzo entered by Bill Attridge (see above)).

And great pics! Thanks Dave Lindsay!

BTW, that's two car-making Master Modelers in a row! How about a Three-peat next year?

Wow! All of those are pretty dope. I love dioramas.
So far I think this is the only one I really dislike. It WAS an (PIAA?) accord. He did a good job, but I would never do that to a honda. Its in th 6th row down. Its GREEN.

Thanks for the link. I've been looking forward to seeing Bil's completed MP4/6, and it has lived up to expectations!
