TT conversion
I was just wondering if it is possible to convert a base 3000GT into a VR-4. I wasn't very sure but i thought that someone on this site might know.

Its not easy or cheap, but I know of two cases that its been done. Its not really a VR4 though - no AWS or AWD capabilities.

been done a handful of times but as yogs said no awd or aws, just a tt motor. not an easy thing to do by any stretch, however.

I would rather convert a 300ZX NA to twin turbo, toss on the bigger brakes(500), the VG30DETT engine/ECU/trans is like 2500-3000 for a "JDM low mile" one. Look around and pick up an NA 2+2 for 2500-3500. Add on some bolt ons, and new suspension setup and you got a bad ass low mile engined car for less than 9k.
