Can this engine fit in my car? And is this a good idea?

O.k. I have a 91 Civic Hatch DX with it's puny little motor and my friend has a 98 Civic LX with a D15Y7 engine that is alot newer and has alot of work done to it. Well he's gettin a B16A and wants me to have his motor. What can I go about as to makin this a clean swap? What do I need and don't? Is it worth the trouble? Thanks for your time

would only be worth it if your stock engine is getting ready to die and you want something close to what you have now..

Well I think it will be worth it for me because my engine is about to die and I hate how it is horribly slow and my friends engine is built up quite nice and so fourth.

I'd do it...why not..its free...just keep your existing tranny and it'll be a bolt-in swap....no need to wire it to OBD2...you could easily wire it for OBD1 if you get a 92-95 ecu...or wire your car for mpfi and use some si njectors, resistor box and pm6 ecu.....or swap your whole dpfi set up onto the new short block and run your existing electronics...
