Exclamation will this engine fit????

first off i would like to say thanks. i know you guys are prolly getting sick of seeing my post but u have helped out a TON since i have got my car. so with that out of the way will a 3SGTE turbo engine out of a 90 mr2 fit into my 87 mr2??? and how much stuff will i have to change?

Yes it will fit.
There have been several of them done and they are affectionally known as MR2 MK1.5s (since they are between a MKI and a MKII)

yes it will, but it takes a crap load of work. u need to be pretty good at welding, (well, on that note u need to be competent with a welder and plas cutter/torch/cuttoff wheel) and really good at wiring- the wiring is the hardest part.

you'll need to change the fuel pump in the tank, cutt the old engine mounts in the car off, make new ones (make sure they fit correctly), get new halfshafts, rewire the thing... there's a lot of work involved

well uhhhhh. that is alot of work i guess. is there a turbo engine that will..........uh just bolt in? without all that extra stuff. like one from the same year as mine.

i've seen a 20v 4agte for sale online before... it was like 5k though... i know that in japan they made a regular 4agte (it was in the celica) you'd probably just need to mate it to the gearbox and wire it (but again... wiring is evil, you're gonna have to do that reguardless)
