Couple weeks back I posted asking if anyone knew how to convert from door mounted seatbelts to pillar mounted seat belts. Come to find out this would require cutting and welding pieces, which I have neither the time no skill currently to do. So I figure I will be better getting 4 point harnesses maybe. However what does installing these require??? Anyone done???

I just installed 3-point harnesses in my hatch and removed my door-mounted belts. Installation was really easy, and relatively cheap. Unless you are planning on doing a bunch of autocross and the like, you should just stick with 3-point harnesses. For one, they're a little easier to install. The ones I have are retractable so that you can still get at your glovebox or whatever without having to take off the belts, but I don't think they make 4-pointers with retractors. Anyways, here's my thread about my installation with pictures:

Those 3point harness look nice and quite a bit easier to install. I definately leaning in that direction now. One question though, what exactly is the C-pillar you were refering to?

Here's a pic to explain the pillars:
The pillars are the supports that hold the roof up basically. The "a" pillar is the foremost supports on either side of the windshield. The "b" pillar is the one in the middle, at the rear edge of the door. The "c" pillar is the one at the rear of the car. This is where I wanted to mount the belts to. There is a hole there where the rear seat-belts used to be, so normally the harnesses would bolt right in, but the retractable belts have to be mounted a specific way which isn't possible on the C-pillar without having some kind of bracket made or something.
