Re: Dash Lights unique Problem

On the rear of the instrument cluster is a PNP transistor which is used to control instrument panel illumination (as well as the remote switches for wipers, lights, HVAC controls, radio dimming, etc.). This transistor switches all the load so that the thumbwheel lamp dimmer control does not have to carry the full electrical load and fail prematurely. You may have to pull the cluster to take a look.
