I had a bad experience with a car dealer in Tallahassee...For some reason these dealers think that if they see some kids that "LOOK" like they are teens they automatically assume we are stupid or something...well at least the dealer i went to did...I was interested in a red 98 prelude and the dealer marked it up way above what it was worth...I told the guy thats not what its worth and he said yes it is, i even offered to show the guy on the internet and use nada or kbb and he just refused and stamped out of his office and so i just got another salesman who did the exact same thing. Geesh some of the adults just don't trust us...and plus the car had an SH sticker on it but they wouldn't believe me that it wasnt' one until i showed them on the vin number that it was a base.

Some people...hehe

What a bunch of shitheads. They could make better sales if they didn't act as if they were better than everybody.

yes alot of dealers do see teenagers and just ignore them or talk down to them but think about it everywhere we go this happens not just at a dealership. This is just how society sees teenagers now. They think we have no money and are good for nothing. This is why when I work I never talk down to fellow teenagers and I am always willing to listen to them and learn new things. If I make a mistake I will let them know I won't just try to play it off and think I am better then them.
The only thing that I think sucks for the teenage buyer is that they cannot take the cars out by themselves for a test drive (if they are under 25). Actually my insurance company is saying we can't even let them drive the car. This is highly stupid because if the person does have the money to buy it then how are they going to be able to see if they like the way it handles when they cannot even get behind the wheel.

hell yeah insurance costs alot of money
I hate it how just because we are young and just starting to drive they judge us on that and think we suck at driving and jack up the insurance payments so high but meanwhile they have senior citizens driving around who cannot even see with no patience to add on top of that. Nothing against old people but I fear for their life and my life when they are driving. I bet their insurance isn't as high as mine just because they have been paying for insurance for awhile and yet who is the more reliable driver in this case? The one who can actually see the objects around them and yet no cheap insurance for me.

Hold it there bella, try beig a guy. Then you'll have some room to complain. Girls have it so much better than us guys. Jeepers... trying to complain about your insurance. It's just not fair, you get the cheap insurace rates, and the breasts. Just kidding though, there's a good number of reasons it's great to be a guy too though.

oh I was going to bring up the point about girls having cheaper insurance as well but then again to me that is great *lol*so I decided to keep it in
girls have cheaper insurance because the fools at the insurance company think that only guys have fast cars and are the only immature ones that want to race
but what they don't know cannot hurt them or hurt my insurance rates

My worst dealership experience was after I purchased my '93 G20 . . . I got shafted, and I'll spare the details, becase I've got a lot to do today . . .

I'll never give that dealership my business again . . . I'll go to school and become an Infiniti mechanic if I have to . . .

Insurance companies piss me off. What really pisses me off is the sexist rates that they have. They assume that just because guys are guys that we are bad drivers. Who ever said that women were these driving godesses? I know plenty of chicks who can't drive well (run red lights constantly, cut off people, weave, and are wreckless in general). I'm not saying all chicks are bad drivers because I know lots of good female drivers as well. I just think it is pretty shitty for insurance companies to automatically discriminate against males, especailly if you are under 25. I don't see why they can't give everyone a clean slate and build from there. It's just another conspiracy. Owell.

Yeah! Hear hear! My sister has had 50% more accidents than me, and she drives so bad it makes me sick to be in the car with her. But does she pay more? I think NOT!
