A/C Compressor Plate loose. Washer is raddling. can i tighten this some how without having to replace the whole unit?

If you can find the right size bolt for it. It is a bolt that bolts into the compressor shaft. If the bolt is there, tighten it down and you should be OK.

F150 2001, Rattle goes away when the Heater or AC is on... However, the truck gives a Loud Tick, then the rattle comes then a another tick and the rattle stops.... it continues to repeat this process as long as the heat or ac is on. Heater does blow hot air still.

i would recommend that you put loctite on the treads of the clutch plate bolt when you go to tighten the bolt down, i would inspect also if any damage has been done to the mating surface if you say the washer has been rattling around, but i agree that if you tighten it you should be fine
