Unhappy 94 Civic Hatchback... help?

Hey everyone... I need some help... I found a really nice 1994 Red Civic Hatchback for $1400, down from 1800. The car itself has like 197K miles on it, but the guy put a newer engine in it that has 70K miles on it. I want to get an H22a for it, but I heard I have to buy some extra equipment for that engine to go in... mounts I think. Somebody told me there were like $800!!! Is that true?!?! Let me know!! Thanx!

Well, I would recommend staying away from the h22. Yes, it is a awsome power plant, but it really is not that great for a HB. Your car will not be good at anything, except for driving in a straight line.

Any motor, other than a D series motor, will require different mounts to be able to fit. A b16-b18 would be a good motor to put in. If you do that, you will be looking at around $2500-$3000 for the swap, and labor.

I second KB. You're not getting that thing in your car without extensive modifications to the engine bay. Stick to the Teg engine and you should be able to work wonders with it.

Question HA Sports

www.hasport.com sells heavy duty mounts for this engine... isn't that all I'd basically need??? I'm gonna put this in myself with a little help from the club and prolly a few other people that have done it. SO I'm not really worried about labor costs
