Lightbulb

wouldn't you need a wire going from the old tach to the blue wire in the ignition to make it work and also a power source to make it move? I was just thinking about that

no the wiring is already there, there just isn't a tack in the cluster. new cluster should just plug right in and off u go w/ a tachometer in place.

yup just plug all your plugs into the new cluster and it'll all work. like i said above i JUST DID THIS LAST WEEK.

there are other cluster besides the ex that will work but the EX is the cheapest one that has a tach.

Makes sense for you to do it, you'll want a tach once you get that DIY turbo kit installed and up and running!!

I will confirm that it is plug and play, I did the same thing, and I used one from a manual EX, just had to color over the PNRD1D2 nonsense.

works easy, same everything.
