start at the beginning

I guess the best place to start is at the beginning. I have questions about many different aspects of the automotive world and sometimes the answers I get from the "experts" differs quite abit. Time for some more choices I am looking to improve the performance of my 03 sierra, where do I go from here? Thanks, joe

The basic power adding mods for any car are the follwing:

Better flowing air filter (preferably with airbox as well)
Extractors/Turbo Back exhaust in an appropriate size for engine capacity, with high flow cat and muffler.

Welcome!

Hey there! Another PA joins the AF bandwagon.

Like Oz said, you've got to get a free-er air filter/intake first, then with the greater amount of air being drawn-in, you need to get an exhaust that will let you expell that higher volume of air back out. That will be good for a FEW, and I mean FEW, horsies. We're talking about 3 before the wheels, but you've got to start somewhere.

Check out the GM forums here and read-up on what's already there. Don't be afraid to ask new questions, too.

Thanks for the come back Oz and SaturnT. I have considered those options as well as a hyperchip, and various other suspension parts. Will go to the GM forum and see whats up there. Truck runs good but cant keep up with my 528i joe
