Completed Model: Suzuki RGV-T '01

Here is one I did as a break from the rally cars, and a quick build.
I used Alclad gloss aluminum for the frame and Tamiya Telefonica blue for the covers and fairings.
The kit is another 1/24 Airfix kit, so it comes out the box pretty basic, but they are great fun to build and can still be made to look really good with a little effort.
I hope you like

And here is one of my 2 1/24 bikes together, the Team Antena 3 Yamaha and the Telefonica Suzuki:

Thanks a lot! That pic actually misrepresents the size since the Pug is a small car to begin with... I'd love to get one!

WHOA, I just got this kit about a week ag as a gift, and I'm really happy seeing it completed! How was the build? Any tricky parts I should look out for? Have you built the honda 500cc one?

I built the Honda500cc and it was great. I could'nt decide weather I should do it red w/ black rims or black w/ black rims. You already know what color MY suzuki is gonna be

Great job!!!

Looks great, Ray. I have a question, though - how did you manage to put those side decals on the Suzuki on? On mine they were waaaaaay off and I was unable to put them on satisfactorily (so far)

And on a side note, a 1/24 kit of Honda NSR500 will be one of the prizes in the ITR competition

You sure did a nice job Ray!
Respect!

I m making the Yamaha 1/24th now, and found some little and easy detail "tricks".

Like putting Carbon -fibre on the exhaust,
Making a bit of heat -effect on the pipes using clear blue and clear orange paints alternatively.
And finally creating your own coil-over spring (see tutorial made by RallyRaider).
Also I have tried something new; using my gundam-type pen-marker to create the illusion of having drilled disc brakes.

These are just some pointers in case somebody would like to put some extra detail in his - hers bike.

But as the paint is concerned, nobody would do better then what you did ray!

Cheers, Olivier
