Looking good. Tamiya make such great bikes and there detail is first class.
Just a shame it has to get covered up most times. You have done a great job though....would have been good to see some progress pics as you built it So whats next ??

Super work daggerlee.
Makes me think of stop all the cars I’m building and start my Rossi’s Honda ![]() P.M. is right, so many work in the “skeleton” to be cover by the body. The Yamaha also look amazing. Do you have built more motorcycles? |

Thanks for all the comments everyone! I appreciate it!
![]() P-man - Sorry, I'll have a progress topic for my next kit!! I'm gonna finish up the Silvia K's 345 Tuning for my next kit, after I help my friend spray his CLK-GTR. Thread up soon. Gainesbourgh - Nope, those are the only two I have. There are more pics + info on the bike in the Gallery. Here's a pic of the engine and stuff: ![]() I already bought a Kawasaki ZX-12R and a Yamaha YZF-R1 road bike, they will arrive next week (hopefully). I am trying to get the Suzuki Hayabusa as soon as it comes out...HAYABUSA!! Cozmo - It's an action figure of Diablo from Blizzard's Diablo PC game. Looks 1/12 scale when compared to the bike ![]() Vric - Go ahead! I want to see! |

I will take some picture on monday or bit later of my Tech 3 Yamaha YZR500'01

Very nice. Beautiful detailing. Puts my Ducati 916 to shame. Did the instructions specify that you had to mix paints for the chasis/front suspension/fork? Somehow I couldn't get the colors that were on my reference pics. My friend (who rides a Harley Soft-tail custom) wants me to make a Harley kit for him. But the problem is that Tamiya only makes Harleys in 1/6 scale. There are a few of those kits in Singapore but they are very expensive. And it is going to be one MASSIVE project. :alien2: |

Yeah, the front suspension fork was painted using a combination of XF-28 Dark Copper and X-26 (3) + X-32 (1). (clear orange and titanium silver). The titanium silver gave the clear orange a metallic look, which was painted over the satin chrome surface. I'm guessing because it was a clear paint you HAD to apply it over the satin chrome surface otherwise it wouldn't have looked right.
