Exhaust.

I been looking and looking and I'm having a hard time finding exhaust for my sisters 96, 3.8L Mustang. I want to run duels out and I can't find an H-Pipe, the complete exhaust system to fit up to the 3.8's. I Have been wondering if the exhaust systems that fit up to the 96-98 4.6L V-8's will hook right ut to the 3.8? Everything stays the same from the pipes off the engine headers back. If I ordered an H-pipe for the 4.6 in the year of 96-98, will it work with the V-6 or am I going to have to do some cutting and welding to make it fit right?

Mac makes a dual pipe Cat-back for a 3.8. You need to buy hangers for the missing side from a GT of the same year. I did a 2000 V-6 yesterday at my work

Racer Walsh has a variety of 3.8 aftermarket parts. Headers, exhaust, etc.

I'm not a 100% sure, but I don't think it would work. The geometry of the both motors is differently, not to mention the set up in the engine bay. Therefor I don't think things would line properly.

I could make an h-pipe work. I may have to add or take some out of the cross pipe, but im sure it can be done. everything else back should be the same as an exhaust for a 4.6.

Yes, but why go through the hassle? It would be much easier to buy an h-pipe made to fit a 3.8, wouldn't it??????

I don't think anyone makes 98 3.8 headers... Mac said something about the flange design or bolt pattern... I don't recall the conversation.
