99 malibu EGR insufficent flow code

Sorry, I can't remember the exact number but it was for low flow or insuffcient flow. I've replaced the EGR valve and cleaned the ports which were not clogged. It has been on for months and running OK then I just noticed yesterday that my gas mileage is off. This morning the code was off when I started the car and came back on about a mile down the road.

Anybody got any suggestions??

Thanks

Have it rescanned to see if the " engine light " is on for the same reason or perhaps a new problem ?
