95 SL Stuck in park WTF!
Is it locked through the key? The Ignition switch lock thing does stick sometimes. 12X thou on the clock. Its been sitting for a week or so and starts and runs fine, the steering is unlocked... foot on the brake and the shifter won't budge.
I really wanna use the big hammer on it. I just don't know what to hit and where. lol:sarcasm1:

Re: 95 SL Stuck in park WTF!
There is a cable that allows the shifter to move once the brake is pressed. Yours needs to be adjusted. A small adjustment and you'll be good to go

Re: 95 SL Stuck in park WTF!
Thanks. Does it adjust at the shifter or brake pedal end?
Is there a trick to removing the shifter? I think the shift button locking mech is sticking some too.

Re: 95 SL Stuck in park WTF!
sometimes the shift interlock gets stuck on the bottom of the ignition housing, if you remove the covers on the column, you will see where the interlock is attached at the bottom of the ignition housing, if you try and move the shifter you will see movement, spray a little lube in there to try and free it up, you will know what I'm talking about when you see it move.
