HVAC Blower works only sporatically
2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, 2 door. The other day, I went to turn on my A/C in my 2000 Grand Prix and there was nothing. The blower would not work at all at any speed, but the A/C light was on as if it were working. I tried it several hours later and it was fine and remained fine for a few days. Last night it was working fine when I was driving. I turned if off because it got too cold and then tried to turn it on again after a while and it wouldn't work again. I tried it a bit ago and still nothing. When I turn the dial to put the A/C on, it seems to engage because the engine power decreases for a second...but again, no blower. Any idea's? Oh, one common event that happend each time it wouldn't work was that we had a hard rain at some point during the day. Thanks for any suggestions-Rodd

Re: HVAC Blower works only sporatically
Possible blower motor resistor for manual dual zone system or the blower motor. Remove the blower and see if there is any water intrusion into the cabin. Also, check to see if you have a cabin air filter installed and good cowl seals.
