Angry Bye bye my front diff!!

It has to happen and it happened last Sunday! I was at the Sepang F1 track...racing among others with a really fast modded Porsche Turbo...2 R33 and 1 R34 running a TO4R and loads of Evos.
First, chasing the Porsche ad kissing his rear end along the back staright...I was about to go to the right to overtake him...suddenly a piece of shyte came off his rear tyre and bang...it came on my windscreen and cracked it quite badly! Shyte! Pitted...found out that the debris was apiece of glass!
Anyway...continued to race till later...took a blind turn leading to the back staright...my normal line and speed...but coming out of it...the car just spun...the front tyres felt strangely recalcitrant!
At the end of the day, the car lost power...in the workshop now...found out the front diff had taken leave to junksville big time...apparently, a bolt or screw unbolted itself...shot through the oil pan creating a hole in it!! The other 3 bolts are dangling in the diffs! Dunno exactly what happened. The mechanic said that shouldn't happen even considering my power...cud be factory defect or wrong installation!
I have however managed to source a replacement...luckily...it will only cost me circa USD400 inclusive of delivery! Engine is now being pulled out.....further damage not known. Crossing my fingers!

Man that sucks. Diffs breaking are unusual on most GT-R's. Anyways I hope all else is well and that it is fixed soon

Thanks everyone for your support during these hard times! I was more upset than anything else because nobody knows how that could happen.
Anyway, on the bright side, I managed to sourse a replacement very quickly and for a very reasonable sum. The engine seems okay...it revs happily and as usual when the gear is not engaged but will instantly lose power when a gear is engaged. We will sort out the diff and then will find the fault in the power loss...as long as it is not coughing white smoke, which it is not, it should be ok.

I have been searching for a Cusco unit for the past 4-5 days...nobody stock this thing An order would mean 4-6 weeks delivery. So, I stuffed the idea and am gonna use factory instead.
I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms now that I am deprived of my daily drive in the GTR!! I mean, driving the Lexus is like not driving at all...the car is so quiet n smooth with no vibration of any kind...it feels like I am in bed!

lol, feels like I'm in bed he says :hehehe:

Any how, I'm supprised that you were still using the factory diff. And even more supprised that it has survived Mr. Nagatas tuned engine DOnno what your plans are for your car in the future, but I'm sure an aftermarket diff will be nessecary, so why not go ahead and buy it instead of buying a factory one that your gonna have to replace agian some time?
