Exclamation 2.2 Turbo Cavy -VS.- 2.4 Cavy both stock besides the 2.2's turbo?

What would you put your money on in a 1/4mile race between a 2.2l turbo charged Cavy and a 2.4 cavy. both 1996 and both stock besides the 2.2's turbo.........?

the 2.4 has more power stock than the 2.2 (150 to 120-130) so with an addition of a turbo (if the turbo is the same) the 2.4 would be more powerful...it depends on what kind of turbocharger

properly tuned and stock bottom end... just the turbo install.. the 2.2 would break at somethign like 10psi.. while the 2.4 would blow a headgasket at 13psi or so..

the 2.4 is way better flowing is a more efficient design and would see more gains from a turbo than a 2.2L ever will...

2.2 w/ a turbo would easily beat a stock 2.4L...

but even things up the 2.4 will come out on top..

What if you had the same turbo on a 2.2 and a 2.4 both at say 8psi. Which one would come out on top?? i know the 2.4 would have the greater horse power but that doesnt mean it will win. Wouldnt weight diff, play a big roll also??

the Z24 has the Twin Cam 2.4l, it's tuned more towards performance than the 2.2l, which i think is single overhead cam, but i am not sure. Besides that, weight difference would probably be slim to non, and if anything, the Z24 would be lighter. Anyways, Supercharge 'em both at 8psi like you say, then the Z24 would dominate.

that many miles? the price is alright, if it's complete with manifolds, everything pretty much...

at that high a mileage you're going to want to do a full tear down, clean that bad boy up, and do a spiffy nice build up.
