rear defrost

rear defrost not working
light comes on but stil dosent work
please help

Check to see if the defogger relay is energizing and passing voltage to the grid. If that is good then check to see if the grid is getting voltage. Another possibility is the RF filter module.

Hey Normand251, check out this thread I had the same problm my light would come for the rear defogger but I would not get any voltage when I tested for breaks along the circuit this method helped resolve the problem http://www.automotivehelper.com/topic176997.htm

Most likely the module that is behind the plastic molding passenger side rear seat on a 2 seater it is just rear of the door at the rear most window upper part you may have to remove seat belt connection, and what happens is it melts at the connector. Your button says its on and its sending power to this module but the module is screwed. You can buy a new module or just rewire it and solder the wires right to the board and electrical tape the crap out of it with one spot open to allow cooling....
