Curbside or not?

I was looking for my post I did about the 32 Ford and what to do with it, but, I couldn't find it. So, I guess I'll just make a new post. (You guys sure can bury a post real quick!) Anyways, I am going to give that 32 to my son and I'm going to go to Hobbytown and buy a new one. I was wondering if I could ask you all a question. Do you prefer curbside models or models with engine detail? I want to do a Skyline, and I found two of them at the hobby shop that I would like to do, (A Skyline GTR V-Tech and a Zexel Skyline, both from Tamiya), but, they are curbsides. I would like to find a Skyline with engine detail, but, I haven't been able to find one. Are there any out there? The only import I have been able to find with full engine detail is an Integra Type-R by Revell. I know that cutting a hole in the front of the Tamiya model and putting and engine bay and engine in it would be kinda (no, really) hard for a beginner modeler like me, but, that seems like my only choice. Please help!

I just looked at your profile and it is listed there as one of the threads you started

I believe the 32 has an engine in it.

BTW, you could have also used the search function to find the thread

Yes, I figured out how to find a post that I did after I did this one. Sorry for taking up space with a new one.

And, I wasn't talking about the 32. I was asking if anyone knew of a Skyline with a detailed engine bay. I have looked all over the place and can not find one.
