Question Intake Manifold???

I have a friend that just bought a 1993 Z-28 with the LT-1. He wants to buy a high performance intake manifold for it but doesn't know which one to get. Any suggestions???

The stock intake manifold is fine for even blown strokers. You can port it if you really want to.

If he hasn't done any mods yet I would suggest a Moroso Cold Air Intake and exhaust cutout before the axle.

www.sybersport.com Email Darren at [email protected] and tell him Grip sent you. Ask him about Cold Air Intakes for your friend's car. He'll get you the best prices when you're ready to buy.

He can always switch to a manifold off of a Vette. A teacher I had in high school did it to his Z28.

The Vette LT1 intake manifold is identical to the Z28s. There is no difference at all.

Your correct, I meant the throttle body. Damn, I need to think before I speak, I do that way too often.

Intake manifolds are a waste of money.

Save your money for headers.

I have a 383 with 470hp and 510 lb ft of torque. Stock Intake manifold just slightly massaged with a 52mm TB.

The throttle bodies give next to no hp on a stock car.

The only manifold to upgrade to with an LT1 is to switch to the LT4 manifold. But the LT4 intake ports are taller, and will not match up with the LT1 heads, so you'll have to port your heads. Tell your friend to save his money and do a heads, cam, intake swap all at once.
