Questions
I don't know how many ppl use this website but... I have an 85 MKII. How do I find out if its a P-type or anything different? Also I know I have a W58. What's the difference between that and the R154? Anyone know of a place that has some tips on a 1UZ-FE swap?

Re: Questions
I'm not too familiar with the MKII but I do not know if your going to have enough room to put the 1UZ in properly without some serious fabbing. The difference between the w58 and a r154 is mainly strength. The R154 is the tranny that came in the MKIII with a 1jz that is a 5 speed. Most MKIV guys who want to cheap out on a manual swap end up putting the 154 in to hold a bit more power. Not sure how much power it will hold, there are MKIII guys on here that can fill in the blanks I have I'm sure.

Re: Questions
Quote:
The P-type has fiberglass fender flares and really good Recaro-knock-off seats(with air adjustment on the driver's side), wing over the back window and P225 tires. The L-type has no flares, no wing, ordinary seats and P205 tires. |
