Best Drop in Paper Air Filter

Hi Guys,

We've beat up the topic of K&N's and other re-usuable filters.

Truth is, they may be good for track runs, but I want to keep the dirt out of my motor.

My question is if anyone knows what brand of paper filter flows the best while still trapping all the dirt.

I had an AC Delco last year and I think it did a good job. After that I replaced it with a microguard (I think it was). And now its coming time for another tune up.

Anyone have any reccomendations on what type of paper drop in filter I should get?

Either AC Delco or WIX.

Same deal with a fuel filter too? Delco or Wix?

Or would a high flow one from zzp be ok? (Are they even higher flow than stock?)

I prefer Delco fuel filters. I've never used any hi-flow fuel filters. I have the Casper adjustable fuel pressure regulator. But I may be at the borderline now on fuel supply. Any more mods and I'd have to bump up to 42# fuel injectors.

Not to confuse the issue, but this is what I use.

Good info! How much are they, and where can I get one? Are they the re-usable type or the throwaway type?

An aftermarket filter company Tim. Basically a competitor of K&N. Many of your aftermarket CAI/FWI kits come with a S&B cone filter. See link.

I'm in agreement from experience that AC Delco and Wix are the best I've used. I've seen the Purolator Pure One's and they look like a quality filter, but I don't feel they are worth the extra money.

I use that AC Delco air filter and have ditched the AC Delco oil filters, I use WIX oil filters now.

Yeah, regretfully AC Delco oil filters are now made by Champ labs, and aren't the same quality they used to be.
