Tips on shipping my car cross country
I will be relocating for a job and my new car will have to travel from Virginia to Washington state. The car shipping company said it is illegal for me to put a cover on the car while in transit. Does anyone have any tips for me to ensure it stays scratch free??
They said they would reimburse and fix any damages but that doesn't make me feel any better. I was thinking of trying to find some of that white tape that are put on new cars. Any ideas on where to find that or of something else to use? Many thanks! Paul

Is it comeing to you on a transport truck? if so then you are fucked. at work we get cars off the transport all the time and they have hydraulic fluid on them, and scratchs and dents. I dont know if you could do this given you circumstance, but why not get a trailer and haul it yourself? Just a suggestion, dont know if it is worth much though.

Thanks!

ok well i'm definitely not putting 3k miles on a car that only has 1500 on it right now.. i'd probably get more nicks driving it on the highway all that distance anyway..
does anyone know anything about what i was mentioning, regarding the white tape material that new cars are shipped with?

sell it, then buy a new car when you get to washington cause no matter your choice shit is going to happen to the car so might as well sell it and buy a car when you get to washington but what is wrong with putting 3000 miles on a car? |

I shipped my car from Pittsburgh in an enclosed transporter. I used:
www.dasautoshippers.com but there are many others. |
