Type R Cams?? How Can I tell??

How can I tell if I'm getting real Type R cams for my B16?? Is there a stamp, markings??? What??? Please let me know.... getting them tomorrow and I want to make sure I don't get ripped!

If its ctr cams it should have 2 ring grooves at the end. If its ITR it should have one ring groove at the end.

I'm getting them off a guy I know, but... I don't want to get burned you know... is there a dif. between the CTR & the ITR?? Hp gains???

Theres actually no difference on the exhaust cam but there intake cam are different.

The intake cam is the cam nearest to ur manifold. THe exhaust cam is the one by ur header.

yeah... I know... but what I'm asking is the ITR cams have bigger lobes and longer duration than the CTR ones?? Which would be best to run in my B16A1?

Well ctr intake cam is better. It has 3 degrees more duration on the intake. The ctr intake have bigger lobes. THe exhaust is indentical. Both are good choices but ctr intake is much better.
